Preparing For Our Show

Term four has started and the countdown begins to our end of year show, an annual

occasion where all the students gets to dance and perform in front of family and

friends.

At Creativity Dance Studios (CDS), we promote an all-inclusive environment, where

everyone is involved in the planning and build-up to this special day.

We begin the preparations each year in term three, firstly with deciding upon what

the show theme will be. The next step is for the students in each class to choose the

music that they would like to dance to.

Once the music has been chosen, we then create the choreography together as a

class and we let the students break up into small groups, which can help to make it

easier to learn the steps to their dances.

All the way through the process of putting the show together, we operate as a team.

We always appreciate and experiment with any different ideas the students have

and work at putting them together, incorporating them into each dance.

During term four, we spend class time practising and putting the finishing touches to

the dances, ensuring that each student gets a turn at the front of the stage during the

performance, only if they want to. We also create patterns, which helps to form ways

of everyone coming on and off the stage, before and after their dances.

This year we are excited to bring our show, Famous Female Artists, to the stage on

December 13th, at a new venue in Williamstown, The Centenary Theatre.

With just over nine weeks to go, let the countdown begin; bring on the show!

The article captures the spirit of community and collaboration within dance classes. However, one might ponder how the emphasis on inclusivity and creativity impacts the individual growth of students. Balancing group dynamics with personal expression can be challenging. As the preparations unfold, I wonder how participants are guided to embrace their unique styles alongside the shared vision https://theexchangecafe.kiwi/ The Pokies reveal an additional layer of complexity in fostering individual talent while promoting collective effort.
