And just like that we are back!

Where have the last six weeks gone? We hope you enjoyed the holidays!

You may have been dancing your way at Creativity Dance Studios (CDS) for a few years or perhaps this is your first year at the studio – We welcome you all and it has been great to see all your happy faces 😊.

Here at CDS, we offer a welcoming, fun and stress free environment and we encourage you to explore and develop your creativity, whilst learning a variety of different dance styles.

Term one is all about learning new dance moves in all our classes that we can develop throughout the year. There is no pressure, and we do not expect you to get it right the first time.

In term two, we will continue to work on the new dance moves and begin to play around with them by putting them into dances and seeing how they fit.

At the start of term three, we begin to create ideas for our end of year CDS Show Case. Each year we have a different theme, and we welcome suggestions from you all. By the end of this term, you would have learned the dances to perform in the show.

During the first few weeks of term four, we will continue to practice and put the finishing touches on the dances for the show and before we know it, it’s show time! This is where you all get the opportunity to dance on stage, show everyone what we have been doing, and have fun in front of your family and friends.

We hope you have lots of fun this term and year!

The approach to teaching at Creativity Dance Studios seems focused on gradual progression and fostering creativity in students. While the emphasis on a stress-free environment is commendable, it's essential to evaluate how effectively the curriculum develops technical skills alongside creativity. Ultimately, a balance between fun and rigorous training can lead to a more comprehensive dance education, especially when preparing forperformances like the showcase where The Pokies might also be a theme.
